ABOUT THE ARTIST

Most of my pieces begin when I find an interesting old industrial object that speaks to me, tells me what the possibilities are.  With an extensive collection of vintage components in my workshop, I then embark on a treasure hunt, searching for and selecting just the right elements. My sculptural pieces gradually evolve as I play with images and ideas that take on three-dimensional form in my mind.  Instead of a plan for a particular piece, I rely on spontaneity, fantasy and reverie.

There are usually two to three projects in the works at any one time. Often, an additional one or two are sitting on my workbench waiting to decide what they want to be. And when they finally let me know, the work and fun begins.
